Carry-On Trailer is thrilled to announce a significant expansion of our manufacturing capabilities at our Westmoreland County facility in Montross, Virginia. This $9.2 million investment will substantially boost our production efficiency, enhance our employee work environment, and improve our finished products. The expansion will also create 60 new job opportunities, further reinforcing our commitment to supporting the local community and contributing to the regional economy. Additionally, our dedication to sustainability is highlighted by an 86% reduction in VOC emissions, fostering a healthier and safer workplace for our employees.
On Tuesday, June 11, 2024, we celebrated the official ribbon-cutting with a company-wide event for all employees, members of the local community, and distinguished guests. Carry-On team members proudly conducted small-group tours of the plant, sharing with our visitors the process of trailer manufacturing. Our special guests included members of local, state, and federal government, as well as channel partners and supporters from our local community who have stood by the Montross team for years.
The event was a wonderful opportunity to showcase the advancements we’ve made. Guests were impressed by the state-of-the-art equipment and our capabilities. The highlight of the day was the ribbon-cutting ceremony, symbolizing the beginning of a new chapter for Carry-On Trailer. It was a day of celebration, community, and looking forward to a bright future together.
